Responsibilities:

* The Medical Transcriptionists translate highly technical medical reports from a doctor’s dictation into typewritten medical records. Most transcriptionists use word processing equipment for typing. Using earphones to listen to the dictation, they compose directly from the voice recording. The medical transcriptionist transcribes and word processes patient histories and physicals, various reports, and death summaries. Transcriptionists edit dictation so that it is consistent and understandable and supply correct format, punctuation, capitalization, and spelling.

* The Medical Transcription Editors edit transcribed document against actual dictations. The edited document should consistently comply with transcription guidelines, standards of style (The AAMT Book of Style), and formats of practice. He/She shall provide timely and consistent quality feedback to inform and update the transcriptionists regarding quality issues and areas of concern to help eliminate repetition of errors. He/She shall recognize, interpret and evaluate inconsistencies, discrepancies and inaccuracies in medical dictation and appropriately clarify and flag or report them as needed.

Requirements:

* Must be medical language specialists and familiar with patient assessment, therapeutic procedures, diagnosis and prognoses
* Candidates must have completed trainings in medical transcriptions offered by MT schools
* With or without experience
* Must have good English grammar, spelling and punctuation skills, as well as proficiency with personal computers and word processing software
* Normal hearing acuity and good listening skills are necessary
* Previous experience is IDEAL but not required
* Willing to work on shifting schedule
* Willing to be assigned at Libis, Quezon City
